凱特：最近美元兌台幣的匯率升破 31.5 元，創下近 4 個月來新高。

Lucy: I don’t know much about currency exchange rates. What effect will the New Taiwan Dollar’s appreciation have?
露西：我不太了解匯率。台幣升值會有什麼影響嗎？

Kate: The appreciation of the New Taiwan Dollar means that you can purchase foreign goods at lower prices, and spend less money on traveling abroad.
凱特：台幣升值代表你可以以更低的價格購買國外的商品，以及出國旅遊變得更划算。

Lucy: Conversely, it has a negative impact on exporting merchandise to foreign countries, and makes Taiwan’s products globally less competitive. Am I getting that right?
露西：相反地，不利出口商品到國外，降低台灣產品的國際競爭力。我說的對嗎？
