National Day is also known as Double Tenth Day since our Father of the Nation, Dr. Sun Yat-sen, launched a revolution on October 10, 1911, that resulted in the collapse of the Qing Dynasty and the founding of the Republic of China.

國父孫中山先生在西元1911年10月10日發起革命，最終推翻滿清政府、建立中華民國，因此國慶日又被稱作雙十節。
